How to add a channel frequency

Receivers for free channels are devices designed to receive unencrypted TV and radio channel signals, which are freely available to everyone without the need for a subscription. The receiver device receives a specific channel signal and then decompresses it if necessary, but most high-quality channels do not depend on signal compression.

The receiver device requires the presence of a dish to receive the satellite signals, as the dish captures the unencrypted signal from the satellite, and this signal is usually compressed in MPEG-2 format. In the event that the user wants to capture signals from more than one satellite, he must use a drive for his satellite dish.

Most of the free channels do not require a specific type of receiver device, but they do require that the device support the video compression format used, the most famous of which is MPEG-2. TV channels project their signals to satellites orbiting the Earth in the form of radio waves. When these satellites receive the signals, they re-broadcast them towards the ground, and then the satellite dishes pick them up and send them to the LNB device in the middle of the dish, and then the signal is strengthened and sent to a device Receiver.

  Install the receiver

To take advantage of the receiver to watch TV channels, you must first install the satellite dish and then program the receiver device, and this is done by following the following steps:

- Choosing the right place for the satellite dish, usually the dish is installed on the roofs of buildings or in balconies, and the satellite dish must be directed to the satellite whose channels are to be used, and a compass can be used to facilitate choosing the appropriate angle.

- After finding the appropriate place for the plate, it is fixed in a strong manner that is resistant to the force of the wind, in order to avoid its fall and cause material damage or harm to passers-by.

- Change the direction of the dish so that it is directed at the same angle as the satellite to be received, and lift it slightly upward, and then tighten the screws that are fixed to the direction of the dish.

- One of the devices dedicated to searching for satellites can be used to make sure that the dish is placed in the correct direction, so this device is connected to the dish using a coaxial wire, and then the name and frequency of the moon is determined, then the direction of the dish is changed until a ringing sound is heard from the device, after Next, the plate directional holding screws are fully screwed in.

- The horizontal angle of the saucer is determined in the same way as it is used to determine its orientation, choosing the angle with better indication and higher quality.

- Pass a coaxial wire from the dish to the receiver, and in the meantime, make sure that the wire is well fixed on the edges of the building or sip, in order to avoid the risks that may cause it to be loose, or simply to avoid damage.

- Drilling a hole in the wall to pass the coaxial wire through, making sure that the wall does not contain electrical wires or water pipes on the back.

- Connect the coaxial wire to the receiver.

Create the receiver

After completing the installation of the dish and connecting it to the receiver, the receiver device is switched on in addition to the TV that is connected to it, so what must appear on the TV screen indicates that the receiver is preparing itself to work for the first time, and after this is done, it is possible to start identifying the satellite and installing channels New.

Installing channels on the receiver

To choose the satellite and install its channels on the receiver, the following steps are taken:

- Pressing the Menu button on the remote control and then going to Settings.

- Selecting the satellite selection option, and thus a list of all satellites identified on the device will appear. The upper and lower arrow buttons are used to navigate the list and choose the desired satellite. Then, the “OK” button is pressed to select it.

- Pressing the yellow button on the remote control to start the process of searching for channels, thus a bar will appear showing the status of the process, and when the tape completes and reaches the value of 100%, the process will be completed and it will stop searching for channels automatically, and the first channel found will be displayed On TV.

- The up and down arrow buttons "Ch Up" and "Ch Down" are used to move between the available channels.

Reset the receiver

The user of the receiver may be forced to reset his device in the event of a malfunction, such as a malfunction in his software, or a power outage, or otherwise, and the process is as follows:

- Ensure that the third or fourth channel on the TV is selected.

- Ensure that all receivers' connections are properly connected.

- If there is a decoder card, it is slowly removed from the receiver, and then reinserted after at least 30 seconds.

- Disconnect the power supply cord from the receiver, and then reconnect it again after at least 30 seconds.

- Pressing the power button on the front end of the receiver to start it, and wait a few minutes for the signal to be captured again and reinstall any updates, if any, so that the process of resetting the receiver has taken place.
